Term 2 is underway!!!

We have had a fantastic first week back. This term looks just as action packed as term 1 and students all seem keen and eager to take on the challenges ahead.

Our big focus this term is 'DISCOVERY' and we are looking at this through a Science and Technology theme. We began this week with a few simple science experiments and focused on chemical reactions. It was fantastic to see the engagement and excitement whilst conducting these experiments.

Our syndicate will be working together on some other Discovery Challenges and our whole school Full Steam Ahead workshops begin on Friday. This is when we have selected an area to focus on and we will be working with this group each Friday morning. It is a great way to meet new teachers and students and to engage in something that really excites us. I can't wait to see all the discoveries and creations that we make.

Miss Dick has taken us through another session on Taleblazers. We are looking forward to extending this again this week. Students have really enjoyed having her expertise in the classroom, as have I.

Basketball has been our physical activity focus this week and already the improvements are evident.

Term 2 has begun with a bang and a pop and I am sure it is going to continue to be awesome!!!!
