Waterpolo - South Island Championships

If you were in and around Moana Pool this weekend you may have seen our Gold Waterpolo team in action. Teams from all over the South Island were competing and the competition was very challenging, It was a good opportunity for the team to grow and develop their skills throughout the weekend. 

On Friday afternoon they had their first game against Southland Girls coming away with a win 11-2. 

A big thank you to Dennis Dodd who coached the team this weekend, Honour and Olivia assistant coaches for supporting the team over the weekend. 

Latest update - well done to the Gold team who finished 3rd in the South Island Waterpolo Tournament. A very exciting 3rd and 4th play off against James Hargest when we started the fourth quarter 8 all, then pulled away to win 11-8. Fantastic results against quality sides  and improving on our games throughout the weekend. Congratulations also to Taka who was named in the Tournament team also!
