Welcome to new and returning Balmacewen students for the 2018 school year.

Hopefully you are all enjoying the fantastic weather. With two weeks until the first day of school for 2018, we thought you may need a few reminders about starting school at Balmacewen Intermediate.

The first day of school is Wednesday 31st January. All students should be in correct uniform in our school hall at 8.50am. Students and parents will be greeted by our Principal Andrew Hunter, from here teachers will read out their class lists and students will follow their teachers to their new classrooms and meet their new class members.

Parents are welcome as always. We will have a meet the teacher evening on Wednesday 7th February beginning at 7pm in the school hall and then moving to classrooms.

Students need to organise their own stationery and it would be great if this was ready for the first day of school. The lists are attached in this publication and on our website.

For year 7 students, PE t.shirts will be organised in the first couple of days and classes will be called over to collect these. In the mean time it would be good to put a mufti set of PE shorts and t.shirt and sports shoes in your bag for the first couple of days.
