Family/Whanau Night

The night began with a shared pot luck tea in the Hall. Students welcomed our families and briefly talked about our Term focus. Then families were encouraged to wander and take part in a range of social, physical and mental wellbeing activities that had been set up by the students.
These activities included- stopball - the Balmac favourite game, dodgeball, kindness rocks treasure trail, tailblazer scavenger hunt, inside board games, mindfulness colouring, yoga and breathing activities, Just dance videos and more. One of the highlights included the family giant ski races and the cornhole challenges also.
It was a fantastic way to bring together our families for an informal and fun filled night and to acknowledge that spending time together in the business of life is important for our connections, mental and emotional wellbeing and to add to our overall Hauora.
