The Pineapple Track

As I was getting out of my bed I got ready to go to school and then I realised we were walking the pineapple track today. I whipped my clothes off as quick as I could, then by the time I was finished I had already wasted most of my energy. Then my Dad toots the horn as loud as he could, then I had to sprint outside as fast as I could without even having breakfast and then we just had the big drive to Balmacewen school.
When I got to school I met up with my best friend Matthew and we had to put all of the stuff we were taking into one big bag and we decided to take Matthew’s bag. Then Miss Peat yelled to everyone “time to get on the bus”. On the bus it was really noisy, at least it was a double decker bus, that was the best part of the ride.
As soon as we got off the bus I stared up at one of the tallest mountains I've ever seen in my life. The first bit was the hardest part which was good and when we got to the top of the first big climb we had a little break and a snack.
After that we had a little downhill and we got to climb over some rocks and we were even allowed to jump off them. Then we had another boring uphill which I didn’t like. Miss Peat said that we were going to do a small sketch of what we could see in the horizon. I drew the harbour and all the mountains.
Afterwards we went on this big downhill part which took about 15 minutes and apparently someone hurt her ankle by tripping over a tree root. When she got down everyone gave her a big clap. After she had a little rest we got moving and caught the bus all the way back to school.
