Keeping Ourselves Safe Online.

Phil from Attitude New Zealand discusses keeping our selves safe on line.
On Friday the 10th March we held the first of our joint Year 8 Cyber Safety activities. Phil from Attitude New Zealand was the presenter for this session. He pitched his engaging performance at a level the students could connect with.
The key messages included…
- Showing kindness and respect to others. The question asked was “Is your online behaviour the same as when you are talking face to face?”
- Showing an empathetic manner when posting material online. “Do I have permission to share this material?”
- What to do if you are the victim of cyber bullying.
These messages certainly reinforced the digital citizenship expectations that you and your child signed at the start of the year.
