Kia ora koutou
I hope this newsletter finds you and your whānau well and that you are managing the busy end of year!
It's a fun time of the year for us as we enjoy events and outings that celebrate the end of the year. It's so nice to see our young people make the most of their last few weeks. Two years at Balmacewen flies by and it is really gratifying to see the progress that has been made.
It is also a time to reflect on the year that has been. We are incredibly lucky to be in a privileged position to witness the growth of our rangatahi. It really is impressive to see how far our students have come.
I take this opportunity to wish our departing Year 8 students all the very best for their move to high school. I wish you every success with the next step in your learning journey. Take with you the good skills and knowledge you have from Balmacewen and be ready to face new opportunities and challenges with confidence.
I look forward to welcoming our current Year 7 students back next year as new school leaders. I know you will be outstanding!
I hope that everyone makes the most of the last two weeks, let's keep the energy and enthusiasm up! This includes being at school on time and wearing correct uniform.
A reminder please regarding school accounts. Please ensure that your account is paid before the end of the term. At present we still have a large amount outstanding Timely payment of these is much appreciated.
I warmly welcome all whānau to join us on Thursday 12 December at 6.00pm for our final prize giving assembly at the Regent Theatre. It is a special evening as we acknowledge student achievement. I look forward to seeing you all there.
Ngā mihi mahana
