They have made their biscuits and bread following the recipe, and then been given a chance to show their creative side and design a flavour to suit the brief.
This has been a warm week to make bread....but some delicious flavours have been wafting out of the foods room. Apricot, onion and cheese was one designer bread that was chosen, another was pesto, cheese and garlic. They could only choose from the range of ingredients that was on the table of choices which included cheese, onion, garlic, herbs, spices, apricots, sultanas, raisins, cranberries, pesto, tomatoes and various sauces.
The Designer Anzacs had to be suitable for their family to go on a picnic, with all family members being able to eat and hopefully enjoy them. This involved some discussions between the partners to work out a modified recipe that would be yummyand suit both families.
Next week we are making our muesli so a lidded jar (glass or plastic) will be needed in class.
