Orchestra

At the end of Term 2 we were joined by the Kaikorai Primary school orchestra for a workshop morning. This was a fantastic morning where new music was explored and the students were able to grow and support each other as they learnt their different parts. We are looking forward to Term 4 when the Balmacewen orchestra will travel to Kaikorai school for a follow up workshop and shared concert.

This was the second workshop for the orchestra in Term 2, as earlier in the term we were able to watch and then play with several Logan Park High School chamber music groups. It was fantastic to see such a wide range of instruments being played, especially by so many ex Balmacewen students.

The orchestra was also busy during our recent open night performing to parents and our visitors in the PAC all night along with members of the school choir.
