Return to School

We are looking forward to seeing everyone back at school.
Our aim is to make sure that everyone is happy, healthy and safe on their return to school. Children will be excited and naturally, some will be nervous and anxious. Staff will be mindful of the differing needs of children especially in the first weeks of return. Please advise your class teacher if there is anything we need to know.
Our focus will be on returning to normal school life as quickly as possible and this will be the case apart from a few temporary changes. These changes will allow us to more easily manage the introduction of good hygiene into our daily routines.
Uniform
For the next 2 weeks, students will be allowed to wear correct PE gear to school. This is to reduce changing room contact and congestion. School jackets can be worn as normal. Navy blue trackpants are also permitted.
Class kitchens
Cooking and heating facilities will not be available during the next 2 weeks. Please don't bring food that needs to be heated or cooked.
Devices
Students will bring their devices as usual. We recommend that your child does not share their device. Students without their own device will be assigned a school device.
Personal hygiene
Please help us with good messaging around personal hygiene and health. This includes using tissues, elbow coughing/sneezing and handwashing and sanitising. Please remind your child to do so. Also remember that if your child is unwell please keep them at home.
Mosgiel/Green Island bus
This bus will run as normal. We will be maintaining a daily list for contact tracing purposes. Please contact Otago Road Services if you have any queries.
School will very much look and feel like normal. Technology, music, kapahaka, PE programmes will all be in action which will definitely add to the excitement of being back at school.
Looking forward to Monday.
Nga mihi nui
