Kia Ora Year 8 Whanau
Wow! Where has the term gone? Another action packed 10 weeks is rapidly drawing to an end.
All year 8 staff would like to thank our Year 8 families and community for your support in the running of all our programmes this term. Whether it was as a helper on our Art Gallery Trip, assisting with our Impact Activities or helping with your child’s learning we appreciate your support in helping us to provide engaging programmes.
It has been wonderful to see the students become more aware and responsible for their personal impact this term. The initiatives they have planned and have made have certainly reduced their environmental impact. From adopting an area to clean up, making eco-homes, being an eco-warrior or even developing their mindfulness, this term has provided an opportunity to investigate an area of interest.
Looking forward to next term. Our integrated unit of study is called “Challenge.” We will investigate how people respond to personal challenges. This will include the students…
Completing the drug and alcohol programme with the Life Education Bus
Viewing a presentation by The Police Education Officer about keeping safe online
Working together as a class to produce a class lip sync item
Contributing to the fundraising for the Challenge Day Out…
The year 8 staff wish our school community an enjoyable end to the term and hope you enjoy spending quality time with your children during the school break.
