Y8 Mystery Box

The Year 8s finished their their time in Foods with their Mystery Box Challenge.

The students arrived to find 4 ingredients under a tea-towel that they had to make a dish with within 45 minutes. Each group had a carbohydrate, a protein, a can of something and a fruit or vegetable. The students had to work together to create a dish their classroom teachers would like. Check out their dishes in the gallery.  Some yummy and very creative dishes were created. The foods were regular food found in pantries in homes and student flats.  Wraps, rice, hamburger buns, pita bread, mince, sausages, chicken, apples, oreos, mandarins, carrots, capsicums, kumera, mushrooms, canned tomatoes, baked beans, and chick peas were all on the menu.

This is their last technology session to end their time in the foods room.  Their reports will be coming home in their books within the next week.
