Netball season 2023

Yellow Team

My season of netball has been the best netball season of my life. It was a very competitive and fun season with lots of different schools competing for places. These games have been very competitive and also very hard but we just kept going without stopping. In my opinion these 10 weeks of netball have been amazing with so many new people becoming friends and getting to enjoy this with other people. Netball is a fun sport it brings people together and it is fantastic.

Grey Netball Team

Our season didn’t start out the best. We were losing every game we played but we were getting better and better as the season went on.We learnt more effective strategies to get us closer and faster to get to the hoop like doing a square pass or how to dodge someone and drive forward. Suddenly we were winning all our games we had made lots of progress. We were working together as a team and was having lots of fun.we did have a few ups and downs but we were a team and stayed together until the very end.

My netball season this year was a roller coaster. First it started with us not winning, then we started winning because we did extra practice and tried extra hard at practices, we are miserable that the season is going to end.

The thing I have liked about this netball season is I have got to try every position and figure out what I like. The one I liked the most was centre because you get to run around a lot and get to be in the game more.Thank you to our coach Amanda for helping out with my team we really appreciate it. This season has been great.

So far the Balmacewen Gold netball team has had a competitive season winning 5 out of our 9 games. We are playing for 3rd and 4th next week. We started off bumpy but we have improved so much over the season and it has been a bit of a roller coaster with winning and losing. Although we have had lots of absences due to camps, illness and injury we have persevered through the season and are proud of how we have played so far. It’s has been a really cool and fun experience being a part of the Gold netball team. We’re all very sad to end our netball seasons at Balmac but can't wait for what's ahead in high school. Overall playing in the Gold netball has been a great experience and one we will never forget.
