Touch

A lot of close games, training and learning mixed with perseverance and adapting to change due to challenges that covid has brought us this term.
Some teams haven't had the same squad each week so it has been awesome to see adaptable players come off games with smiles on their faces.
The Lions came second to Tahuna in a final that was great to watch and some good touch was on display.
The unbeaten Tornadoes were unlucky not to be a final but completed the term with a win over Taieri.
A group of committed and talent students have put their hands up to referee the junior teams each week. The exciting news is that in Term 4 they will have a brand new junior referee uniform to wear and be mentored by 2 National NZ Referees each week. Looking forward to seeing them all out there.
We have been lucky enough to have ex-Balmac students Jackson, Jensen and Lyla coming back each week to help referee our teams. We are truly grateful to having these students as it helps our coaches out so they can coach during the games.
Big thank you's to our group of dedicated coaches, Miss Smart, Mrs Cooper, Mr Byrne, Mr Hedges, Mr Pitts, Mr Olsen and Ms Brown for their amazing work this term. We couldn't have done it without you either.
Special thanks to all the parents who have tried hard to find a park, watch the games, washed the tops, provided the snacks and full water bottles, and cheered on from the sidelines. We appreciate everything you do.
Trials for the Term 4 teams will be held late in Term 3.
