Year 7 News

It has been another busy term for our Year 7 classes. Our students have recently wrapped up their theme study on the Olympics and body systems and are now diving into new health topics like Puberty and Hauora (wellbeing).
This coming week, they will kick off sessions led by Amy from St Johns, who runs a fantastic wellbeing program for our students to support our class programmes. The students are engaged, settled, and eager for what's to come.
There are plenty of events on the horizon that our students are looking forward to, including the upcoming PE day out with skills and drills, Polyfest which involves both our Kapa haka and Pacifica groups and school athletics. It's such a busy term filled with exciting opportunities for our students.
Please check out the fantastic writing that has also been completed by our year 7 students in this newsletter.
Congratulations to all our sports teams who have finished the winter season, those students who will compete at the upcoming Otago cross country and the success our students had at Science Fair and the O'Mathlon. Intermediate is a time to try lots of things and to be involved and our Year 7 students are certainly stepping up to do so.
