Speeches

This term all classes have written and presented speeches as part of our literacy programme. We were impressed with the diverse range of topics that engaged our students and the way they presented to their classes.
After presenting in class, two students from each class went through to the semi-finals for each year group. Congratulations to the following students who were then selected for the finals - Year 8 - Tyne, Flynn, Rosa, Marco and Memphis and in Year 7 - Lily, Will, Quinton, William, Ben and Fleur. Our judges for the final were Jo Neilson and Jenny Seward from Otago Girls High School. We thank them for their help with the difficult task of judging our finals and for giving up their time to do so.
Congratulations to Marco for winning the Year 8 speech cup with his speech on "Destiny" and to Will for winning the Year 7 speech cup with his speech on 'Hard Work".
