Welcome Back to Term Two!

This term our integrated topic is called WONDERMENT - we will be looking at the awe and wonder of science and technology with a focus on FLIGHT. The students will have to start thinking about their idea for our school science and technology fair as their Inquiry and Homework for this term. It is important that this is started early so TIME MANAGEMENT is going to be very important. They have received a detailed booklet to guide them through this INQUIRY and we will have time in class every FRIDAY to check what they have done, ask questions and work on their investigation or invention or technology project.

We also have our CAMP in Week four so a lot of our class time over the next few weeks will also be preparation for this. Please make sure that you regularly check that you have received any notices that will be coming home! We also have our student teacher Miss Murray teaching for two weeks, a winter sports tournament later in the term, a look into NZ Music Month and MEGA MATHS basic facts focus for the first four weeks. It promises to be another action packed term. 

We finished last term strongly with an excellent effort from the class to complete and present their Zoo Inquiry. I have also included the video we used as part of our class Assembly on the Olympics last term - the teachers race!
