Stu Duval

Once again Balmacewen were lucky enough to host Stu Duval in 2 spectacular storytelling and story writing workshops.
Year 7 students gathered in syndicates to hear the author and illustrator bring stories to life. While supported with soundtracks and live artwork, Stu entertained us with his storytelling skills; capturing and inspiring us to write.
Session 2 left us eager to start writing. It was fantastic to hear Stu's take on writing great stories and how he has been successful using action, spontaneity and creativity. Stu gave us his top tips and involved us in his writing process, using our ideas and generating creativity.
Back in class we have covered our walls in reminders and helpful writing hints. Term 4 will be full of narratives and illustrations. I can't wait!
