Kia Ora families and friends of our Year 8 whanau, here is our latest news.
Thank you for all your support and assistance with the learning programmes we have undertaken this term. This week the students have been busy completing their Term 1 tasks, especially the creation of a podcast. All year 8 projects will be shared with you via a website, which will be operational end of week 1 next term. In the mean time you can both enjoy and celebrate your child's project, which they will share, during the break.
The Berwick Camp experience is sure to be a major highlight of your child’s time at Balmacewen. Please refer to earlier emails for comprehensive details about the organisation of this event. This begins the first week back with Room 13 being the first class to head away. The cost of this camp is $200. This can be paid off in instalments, at the school office. If you are experiencing difficulty with the payment of this activity then please contact your class teacher or Mr. Hunter.
A Professional Development focus for all teachers has been our Mathematics Programme. A special thank you to Mrs Leia Silby and Mrs Kirsty Munro for all their amazing work. They have been providing insights for classroom teachers on how to further engage and motivate the students in Mathematics.
The Year 8 Staff would like to wish all students and families a safe and relaxing break where you enjoy the company of friends and whanau.
