Kia Ora Whānau and Friends of our Year 8 Community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to our class programmes this term. We’ve had an action-packed few weeks, making the most of our community resources and local experts to inspire and motivate our students. From our visit to the Toitū Museum to supporting our quiz nights, it’s been a fulfilling and rewarding term. Room 24 had a fantastic experience at Berwick Camp, and the other classes are eagerly preparing for their own trips. None of these experiences would be possible without your support, so a huge Kā Mihi from all the students and staff.

This term, our focus has been on learning about the events and people who have shaped our local region. In the next two weeks, each syndicate will host a quiz night to showcase what they’ve learned. This quiz is a key part of the students' PBL (Project-Based Learning) for the term. The students have worked hard to plan and organise the event, aiming to teach our community about the rich history of Otago.

It was wonderful to see so many of you at our recent Term 1 interviews. The conversations were incredibly helpful in shaping our ability to plan programmes that best support your child's needs. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your class teacher.

Kā mihi
