Year 7 news, December 2018
By Beth Downie | Posted: Tuesday December 4, 2018
It is hard to believe that this is the last newsletter for the year; it only seems like yesterday the Year 7 students were sitting in the hall on day one waiting anxiously for their names to be read out!
All classes have been working on their Term 4 ASPIRE inquiry of How can we use our strengths and skills to give back to our community? All pupils have been working on individual/group inquiries - some have performed a dance, some have collected for charity, there has been baking, animation movies, movies, art creations - the list is endless ! It is great to see the progress in inquiry skills throughout the year and how children are working through the ASPIRE process.
I would also like to acknowledge your generosity for your recent contributions to the Presbyterian Support foodbank appeal. The appeal was incredibly successful and we are able to hand over hundreds of items next week to the staff from PSO. So thank you and all the Year 7 children for their donations - I know that these donations will make some families life a little less stressful this Christmas.
As the year draws to a close, I would like to thank our Year 7 parent community for their ongoing support throughout the year. The Year 7 team are also really looking forward to watching our Year 7 pupils step up to be the leaders of the school in 2019 and we are excited to follow their progress!
