Design Thinking
Mr Hanson, our college teacher, guided the students of Room 10 through the design process. He gave groups the challenge to build a catapult out of a limited range of materials. The catapult was to be tested to see how high and how far it could propel a ping pong ball. Game on.
They researched, they designed, they built prototypes, tested them and F.A.I.L. First Attempt In Learning. Lessons learned the groups did some more research, adapted or completely changed their design, more testing was done until they were happy with the results and ready for the final show down.
This video shows the first cycle in their design thinking process.
