Room 10 had the privilege of taking part in a dance workshop run by the Royal New Zealand Ballet last week.
We explored moving at different heights and different directions. We worked on our balance. We mastered a body percussion rhythm and took it to the next level by choreographing our own. Finally, we were taught a small piece from the classical ballet Swan Lake.
The two-hour session was jam-packed, there were many sighs of pain as we sat cross-legged on the wooden floor and many squeals of delight as we spun and danced like never before. It was an afternoon to remember.
