Welcome to Balmacewen 2018

Dear Parents and Caregivers

What an excellent start we have had! A special well done to our new Year 7 students for the way they have joined our school. It has been great to see lots of smiling faces and the formation of new friendships this week.

Our early focus is all about establishing strong relationships within classrooms and the wider school environment. Teachers will be getting to know your child and discovering more about their interests and learning.  Our school values of Respect and Kindness have been to the fore as students meet and cooperate with new people.

There are many exciting activities and opportunities planned for Term One. I encourage all students to make the most of the learning, cultural and sporting opportunities coming up. 

You are warmly invited to a "Meet the Teacher" evening, Wednesday 7 February at 7.00pm. This is an early opportunity to visit your child's class, meet the teacher and also connect with other parents. Please meet in the hall at 7.00pm.

I also welcome the support of you, our parent community in assisting with school trips, class learning and sports coaching. With high numbers of participation expected, please consider putting your name forward when the time comes.

We’re set for another great year at Balmacewen and I look forward to meeting you as the year progresses.
