Designing for our stakeholder

Our Year 8 ākonga have been busy designing a creative heat bag cover for a chosen person (primary stakeholder).

All students have already completed a heat bag using their machine sewing skills. These are made from cotton or linen and they have been filled with rice or wheat. They can be used as in icepack or heated up for warmth, comfort or to provide pain relief.

Our Year 8s are now in the process of completing their paper templates to size and cutting their fabric. Most have chosen to work with polar fleece or wool.

I am looking forward to seeing their cool designs come to life as they explore more hand sewing and machine sewing.

Keep up the great attitudes to learning Year 8!
