Bandquest

 Made up of 17 students ‘The Fourtunas’, ‘Hive Mind’, ‘The Bellows’, and ‘Quad Squad’ spent over a term learning their songs and preparing their performances for the competition. After having last year’s competition as a video entry, it was fantastic to be able to have everyone take the stage and show all their hard work.

Despite some of the bands being hit by illness in the weeks leading into the competition, everyone powered through the nerves on the day and went out and performed so well. Awesome effort to Ilsa Gemmell-Braisher from Quad Squad for coming away with the Best Keyboard Player award and to Charlie McDonald from The Fourtunas for the Killer Guitarist award.

A special shout out also goes to Johnny Appleby who started out tutoring a couple of the bands then ended up working with everyone, as well as being backstage support during the competition night.
