Science in Room 1

This term our topic is 'Discovery' and we are learning lots about the scientific process.
Over the last 2 weeks our student teacher Miss Pearce has done some fun and interesting experiments with us. We have learnt how to write up an experiment and how to link our conclusions back to our hypothesis.
One experiment we did was making ice-cream. We did a lot of shaking and ended up with some pretty great tasting ice-cream. We also did the egg dropper challenge where we had to create a structure out of straws and masking tape that would protect an egg from breaking when dropped from a height. It was an eggsellent way to spend an afternoon but let's just say some structures were more successful than others!!
