Balmacewen Girls in sync at National Gymnastics Comp

Two very talented and flexible Balmacewen students represented Otago with distinction when they travelled to Auckland to take part in the annual Gymsport National competition. The girls were very happy with the result after all the hard work that they put in prior to the competition. 

Lucy Hayward had this to say  about the event:  

From Sept 29th - 5th Oct we were lucky enough to travel to Auckland as part of the Otago rhythmic gymnastics team to compete at the Gymsport Nationals. After three days of watching the rest of our team compete it was our turn. Our first showing went well with no drops of the hoop and great synchronicity. We went into our 2nd showing and it was perfect, A nail biting wait to see where we had placed...second overall, silver medals!

Well done to both Lucy and Florence for their achievements. I think we can all agree there could be a bright future for these promising gymnasts.
