Year 8 News

We are currently completing our Year 8 Challenge programme which looks at empowerment, communication and social skills for our students. The courses with Caleb and Imogen have been very engaging and rewarding. Once the final classes complete this activity then we will move into our decision making unit. These programmes will see the students utilise the numerous skills they have been developing over the last 2 years. From experience, our Term 4 programme reinforces the foundations required by your child to springboard into the next stage of their schooling.
There are a lot of fun activities planned including the Class Day Out and Year 8 Touch Tournament. Teachers are constantly referring to the expectations newsletter that came home at the start of the term which reminds the students how important it is to keep applying their best efforts and to display kindness to all.
Each child has received an informational newsletter about the Class Day Out and we wish the students all the best in their fundraising endeavours. The Job Contract has been the most popular fundraising option and numerous parents have enjoyed their children completing odd jobs around the home. Keep working them hard! With the students contributing to the cost of the day, it develops more of an appreciation for this fun day out.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
