Our vision “learning is forever” means that the skills, knowledge and attitudes we acquire now will set us on a positive path to future learning. It implies a growth mindset that encourages us to always be inquiring and learning.

The strength of Balmacewen is people. Our dedicated staff and supportive community combine to provide students with a strongly connected learning experience. Learning is integrated and we look for real life connections to make learning relevant and fun.

We encourage the development of independent work habits as well as the ability to work in teams and collaborate with others. Both skill sets require practise and reinforcement within our classroom programmes and combine to build a thoughtful and resilient learner.

Our school culture is one of care and support. Themes of personal and social responsibility are central to our happy and safe environment. Our high standards are expressed daily and are reinforced through all programmes.

We are a high trust environment where we support children to make great decisions, to build confidence and develop strong personal skills.
