Balmac students help to bring ideas to life

A group of students have been working with a class of Year 2 students at Maori Hill School to help them bring their Dunedin Hospital build ideas to life.
The group of Year 2 students have exciting hospital plans including a sensory room, smart room, toy vending machine and dinosaur sanctuary! Our Balmac students have visited and helped them with the 'technical bits' so that their ideas can be turned into working prototypes. This has meant supporting the Year 2s with Vr, robotics, smart technology, electronics and more.
The Balmac students have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They commented how they missed connecting with younger kids and that this an experience they'd like to do more of. The Year 2s seem to love having the 'big kids' visit too.
