Robocup Junior Nationals

Aaron Nelson, Bill Campbell, Maia Penhey, Holly Mein, Jenny de la Harpe and Lara Tyndall represented Balmacewen Intermediate at the Robocup Junior Nationals on Saturday, 16th of September. They had all worked hard prior to the event and competed with students from schools across New Zealand. Aaron and Bill competed in the Robotic Soccer event and won two of their games. Aaron also took part in the theatre event with Lara where they gained third place. Holly, Maia and Jenny had a great theatre performance but weren't able to place on the day.

On the Friday before the students also took part in the Techspiration Conference which involved sessions learning about the future of robotics as a career at Otago Polytechnic and Otago University. Some also were able to tour Fisher & Paykel.
