Year 7 Fabrics

Our first load of fabulous cushions should have made their way home to be celebrated!
Our Year 7 ākonga have gained so many new skills when learning to set up their sewing machine to create their functional, fabulous cushion cover and inner.
They made fabric choices based on their primary stakeholder and we made sure our inners were "fit for purpose" by stuffing them with a combination of polyfill and cut up practice fabric. We tested their level of comfort before sewing them closed.
Please look out for their booklets that will be coming home in the next fortnight. These show the learning journey your child has been on and they should be celebrated, as all ākonga have made progress and developed confidence working in our Fabrics room.
