The Doors of Misery

The box. the door. The crumbling brick. It begged me to enter. As I took a step further I got closer AND closer AND closer to the handle of the door I felt the planks under my feet creaking. I felt like the whole world was shaking! I placed my hand on the door with agony. I hesitated to open. I could only think of death in my head. As I open the door a sound came out asking me to come in. I stepped inside and put a brick on the door so it could stay open. But as I went further in,someone picked the brick up and threw it outside, I rushed as my heart beat to the door. I tried opening it but it was locked. As I blinked I found myself swarmed and surrounded by bats. From every direction they would come and scratch me all around my body with their sharp claws they felt like swords, with their yellow eyes staring at me. Then one of them scratched me in the neck and then I started to close my eyes shut hoping it would protect me. When I woke up I felt like I was in a different dimension. There were so many different creatures and from one I knew is the MANTICORE. It looked half scorpion and and half lion and dragon. Its claws dragged against the ground ripping its prey. Its whole body was covered in venomous spikes. If you were to be bitten, you would start getting infected and in ten minutes you'll die in agony as your flesh melts off. It had a large tail, it moved around it wasn't any tail it was a scorpions tail. And it would scream every time it got mad. It had two large wings that helped it fly in the air. They made sounds and wiped out trees in the air. I ran looking for an exit I saw the door I came from, so rushed like lightning I looked behind me and the manticore was chasing after me. I got closer AND closer AND closer to the door. But then it just vanished. Now I knew I was in real trouble. Especially when that manticore is after me. I looked behind me again and the manticore was not in sight and there was a brick just sitting on the sand. It was the brick that I placed on the door so it did not shut. I saw someone in sight it was…..
