Butterfly House Visit

Last Friday Room 14 travelled to the Otago Museum to investigate the tropical rainforest.
Excitement filled the air as Room 14 invaded the museum. It was a wonderful learning opportunity to experience a unique habitat. We were treated to several memorable events including a release of swarming butterflies, the turtle chomping a butterfly that had fallen into the lily pond and the exploration of discovery world. The air hockey game certainly took a hammering.
Emily, the museum education officer, certainly challenged the students to think about key concepts, especially the relationships between organisms and who benefits from this specific relationship.
A big thank you to all the helpers for your company and we hoped you enjoyed the trip as much as we did.
