Tech Girls are Superheroes Competition 

In 12 weeks the girls had to find a problem to solve and then design a business plan and an app to solve that problem.Each of the teams had a personal mentor from Australia or New Zealand who they spoke to each week via Google Hangout.Two of the teams designed an app for a very real problem for them in Term 2...coming up with a Science Fair idea and the other team designed an app to help kids to learn how to cook.There was a lot of team work, problem solving and perseverance required as well as learning a whole base of new skills. The girls were very excited when their apps went 'live'. We have submitted our entries and look forward to hearing the results soon.
