School speech finals

On Friday afternoon the school was entertained and educated with a wide range of speech topics.
There were 13 speech finalists who had the task of presenting their speeches to over 500 people ! The topics were wide ranging from Steven Adams to having a positive attitude to Donald Trump and even a speech about speeches!
The judges had the difficult task of selecting one year 7 and one year 8 winner and after much deliberation they selected Yasmeen Atieh with her speech on the burkini and Andrea Dale with her speech on feminism as the overall winners.
Congratulations to all our finalists and it is great to see you wearing your new speech badges with pride!
