Year 8 Mystery Box Challenges

Under a tea-towel the Year 8's find their food - the challenge is to make a yummy looking and tasting dish from the ingredients found.
They have 40 minutes to prepare a dish from the ingredients and the use of the pantry, fridges and garden to create their dish. All foods are commonly found in their homes so no strange and unusual foods are given to them.
This time we switched things around and instead of 6 different boxes we had 3 different boxes and the left side of the room competed against the right side of the room. It was interesting to see what 2 groups did with the same foods. Some did very similar ideas and others were total opposites.
