Kia ora Year 8 Community.

As a Year 8 Team, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all whanau and friends for your ongoing support throughout the 2024 school year. Your involvement has been invaluable in helping us create a diverse and enriching learning environment for our students.

Throughout this year, we have seen incredible growth in our students. Whether it’s refining teamwork, demonstrating independence, or embracing new challenges, we are proud of the progress they've made in every aspect of their schooling. The focus on our school values has laid a strong foundation for their future success, and we’re confident it will support their transition into high school next year.

This term has been a flurry of exciting activities! The Year 8 Touch Tournament wrapped up today with students showcasing outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship. We’ve also begun preparing for the Year 8 Social with a fun social dancing unit, where it was fantastic to see everyone getting involved and enjoying themselves. Next week, classes are putting the final touches on their class lip sync performances, which will be presented to the school in the final week of term. It’s been a fun and action-packed way to end the year!

It’s been a pleasure to watch so many of our students engage fully in class and extracurricular activities throughout the year. Their enthusiasm and positive attitude will serve them well as they move on to high school, and we’re excited to see all they’ll achieve in the years to come.

We wish you and your family a joyful and restful holiday season, and all the very best for 2025!
