The Shipwreck.

The cold surf washed over my bare feet and with it came narrow strips of rotten wood. The sound of thunder rumbled menacingly through the flat, sandy terrain. I looked at the pale shell of the decrepit boat. A chilling wind howled in my ears and unsettled the sand around my feet. Freezing drops of water began to pummel the coarse sand and the aged boat. The distance became a dense curtain of rain. It was time to go back.
