New groups and yummy recipes and lots of good smells have seen the final term begin in the Foods Room.
The final group of Year 8's have started in the foods room with muffins, scones, macaroni cheese and spaghetti bolognaise all being made. We have just started on our pastry unit and successfully made apple turnovers using our own puff pastry.
The Year 7's have made their designer biscuits with some learning that certain ingredients shouldn't be added to biscuits for a variety of reasons. Others have made biscuits so yummy I'm sure Arnotts will be ringing them up! This week we have made the designer bread and their were many unusual and interesting combinations including pesto and cheese, garlic and rosemary and cinnamon and garlic.
