Tēnā koutou e te whanau
Firstly, a big thank you for supporting your child 's learning through lockdown. It really did make a difference. I'm sure you'll agree that it's nice to be back into semi normality again. There's nothing like a lockdown to make us appreciate the things in life that give us purpose and enjoyment. Being back at school has very much been like that. Seeing our young people enjoy the social and community aspects of school has been really great to see.
Although our term has been shortened, the programme for the next two weeks is full of activity. Apart from a number of larger out of school events that have had to be cancelled, we hope to keep all of our planned activities in place.
Our continued focus on hauora has made a positive impact in the wellbeing of our young people at school. Being able to identify and understand elements that contribute to mental and emotional health has helped students manage themselves through a challenging time.
Let's hope we continue towards Level One and that the spring weather patterns provide some warmth and sunshine to keep everyone feeling good.
Ngā manaakitanga
