Science and Technology Roadshow

Today Room 14 attended the Science and Technology Roadshow. This roadshow comes to our school once a year and is an opportunity to look at hands on science concepts and models.
As part of our visit the science roadshow team also presented two shows - the first show was looking at materials like liquids and their different properties. The second show focused on sound- looking at sound waves, frequency and sound properties. We had about an hour also go around and explore the exhibits - each with an activity and the science concepts behind the activities. There were a number of challenge stations also where you could find answers and explain the science in order to go into a competition - well done to Beldon who won a prize in this. It is a great one off day to experience new science ideas in a fun and interactive way and something we look forward to hosting each year.
