Year 8 Foods

Year 8 Students are learning about flavour and texture before making their pie.

Working on from the recipes they made in Year 7, and the skills learnt, the students in Year 8 are planning to make their perfect pie in a few weeks. They are thinking about the ratio of meat to sauce (Spaghetti Bolognaise), flavour layering (Fried Rice), Mashing potato (Potato cakes), and pastry making (Puff pastry into apple turnovers, and short pastry into fruit tarts).

Next they will plan and make their pie.
