Year 7 Softie Creation

The final rotation of 2018 has started this week and Fabric students have learned a variety of hand stitches during 'functional modelling' - which is when they trial and learn design concepts - in this case hand stitching skills in preparation for the design process. From here they brainstorm and design a softie of their choice for a stakeholder, gaining inspiration from pinterest, other outcomes and their own creative ideas. As a teacher, it is always so exciting to watch these fabulous creations take shape and develop through the design process to completion.
Last week 3 classes completed their softie designs and they should have brought them home to show off! Below is a great collection of many of the fantastic outcomes that have been completed.
