TERM 2 HAS BEGUN!!

Room 24 have another busy and active term ahead. It is great to see everyone back refreshed after the holiday break. Also great to see so many come back with their ideas in place for the Term Two Aspire which is the Balmacewen Intermediate Science and Technology Fair.

Science Fair is a major activity which dominates the first few weeks and continues throughout the term, both in class and as home learning. Science Fair planning and initial research has begun with a lot of students looking to invent. I cannot wait to see their outcomes. Not only is Science Fair a focus for our pupils, we are also looking at the principles of flight - LIFT, THRUST, GRAVITY, DRAG. 

Explanations is the genre of writing we are developing this term whilst also continuing with our leveled reading program.

Our P.E focus is on large ball skills culminating in an end of term fun day at Edgar Centre playing Netball, Futsal and Volleyball.

Towards the end of this term there will be auditions for the school production which will be performed in week 2 of Term 4. 

All this and much much more will provide plenty of learning opportunities and experiences for the students in room 24.
