School Council Round-Up

Over Term 1 we have worked through a process to make some decisions about which charities our school would like to donate to this year. Initially every class brainstormed all the charities they felt were important. As you can imagine, there was quite a list.
We then researched each charity and put together a slide to educate classes about each charity before they voted. Since then we have managed to select our top 8 charities for 2022. We will fundraise and make donations to 2 charities each term.
The 8 charities we have selected are: Make-A-Wish, NZ Down Syndrome Association, Starship Hospital, Breast Cancer/Cancer Society, Westpac Helicopter, St John, Greenpeace and The SPCA.
This term we are in the process of looking at issues and concerns around the school and setting up some working parties to address these issues. We look forward to keeping you posted on our progress.
