Balmacewen Girls Touch Tournament

Last Friday Balmacewen hosted a touch tournament for girls in year 7 & 8. A big thank you to Columba College, Fairfield and Taieri College for coming along. It was a great student lead initiative, with the purpose of giving more opportunities focusing on the girls in sport. We hope to be able to make this an annual event with more schools from around Dunedin getting involved.

As the touch tournament has come to an end. We would like to express how grateful and proud we are of all the girls that committed and came to the tournament. We are so lucky that we had an opportunity to run this competition and hopefully it will continue over the years. Thank you to everyone who showed, including refs, parents, and staff helpers. As we leave year 8 we wish to see this tournament continue to run at Balmacewen and hope to be able to return to help.
