Most ākonga have completed their haet bag and decorative cover so they will be warm for winter!
Our heat bags are made using either cotton or linen so they are safe to microwave. Be sure to have some water in a microwave safe cup beside the heat bag. The decorative covers are NOT to go in the microwave. They add personality and have been made using either polarfleece or up-cycled fabrics. Some ākonga chose to use donated denim or woollen blankets. These students have made informed decisions and understand the issues involved with textile waste. Be proud of your mahi and learning journey. I hope your primary stakeholder enjoys using their awesome heat bag and cover.
