Author visit.

Glen Collquhoun is a successful and experienced New Zealand author. He has written many books; several containing poetry, his passion.

Glen is a very inspirational author and values constant creative activities. One of the key things we picked up from his visit was that if you keep doing creative things, like art, writing and crafting, your mind will generate more creative ideas; so when you are stuck for inspiration, just observing your surroundings can provoke new notions.

He also talked about being fun with writing, and not immediately perfecting it and stressing over the quality and quantity of drafts. You don’t have to finish it, and it doesn't have to be perfect. Overall, the Writing Extension group thoroughly enjoyed having such an uplifting and fun visitor.
